Networking

One important aspect of our ministry is the ongoing process of building networking relationships with other local entities that serve the economically and socially disadvantaged. These include:
  • faith based organizations
  • self-help entities (such as recovery groups)
  • other independent groups
  • government social service agencies.

         Networking Is Effective

  • We encourage and support one another
  • We all work together to meet the needs we see in the community
  • We avoid duplicating (and wasting) resources, efforts, and information.
Here Is A List Of Some Of Our Networking Friends

Calvary Chapel - They have provided work for some of our clients, donated a mobile home and contributed money for other homes, and donated vehicles.

Capital Christian Center - They are maintaining an annual gift giveaway through City Gates and Union Gospel Mission, and their staff have received crisis call interview training from City Gates. Members of their congregation have also received assistance from us.

Christ the Servant Lutheran Church  -They have participated in providing survival gear and clothing, and volunteers for Street Lights. City Gates has helped in counseling some church members and helped the church in forming a closer bond in their community.

Grocery Outlet - They often call Gary and Kathy with generous bread donations.

Hidden Creek Community Church - We partner with them for their Holiday Fest food, blanket, and coat distribution.

Mega Foods - We use their parking lot for our car wash fundraisers.

Mixx 96.1 - They have done a wonderful job of promoting our fundraisers.

Olympia's Farmers Market - We receive the majority of our fresh fruits and vegetables through the generosity of the farmers who are the vendors at the Olympia Farmer's Market.

Panera Bread - We get a lot of bread and pastries from these generous folks.

Panorama City - Clair Clark has been a great help to us as a contact at Panorama City who helps us with clothing contributions. Diane Stiles is another wonderful contact there who has provided blankets and towels for us through their Patio Sale.
