Gary Talley 
                                              
Gary spent the majority of his adult life in the aviation industry, both commercial and private, including four years in the US Air Force. He also served in the Fire Service as a fireman with EMT training. He, along with his wife Kathy are coordinators for City Gates Ministries Food Bank, and Gary administers the Food Commodities Program. He is also a founding Board Member.

Knowing that Kathy has worked for over 32 years as a Bakery Manager for Safeway it should be no surprise that she and her husband Gary are involved in a food ministry.  

They serve as the Food Bank Coordinators for the ministry and deliver boxes of food to folks who need it. Kathy has a degree in Psychology from Evergreen State College and is a founding Board Member of City Gates Ministries.

An independent grant writer, Maura is a 2005 graduate of The Grantsmanship Center’s Institute.  She also attended Clover Park Technical College Multimedia Production and Design Program.  She has an extensive history of volunteer service in the Thurston County Public Schools and local nonprofits.
 
She serves City gates Ministries both as a Board Member and their volunteer Community Development Officer.

Mary has been married for 15 years, lives in Lacey, Washington, and attends Christ the Servant Lutheran Church where she teaches confirmation classes. 

She also is the founder and director of Heads and Feet Ministry which operated through the church and ministers to people by supplying practical needs.

 God led her to City Gates Ministries out of her desire to reach outside the walls of the church and find people who need help out there and has been a CGM Board Member since mid-2006.  She is the Assistant Director of a before and after school program for children at Spanaway Lutheran Church and leads a once a week Bible Study. She also manages the backpack ministry for City Gates, a twice yearly event where backpacks and street gear are distributed through our Street Lights program.
