Food Bank

Our food bank ministry is run by Gary and Kathy Talley, and they and our team members deliver food to needy individuals and families as soon as they get the call.
This not only allows the families to stretch their food budget, but it frees up money that can be used to pay other debts.

  • In 2006 we processed over 5,000 pounds of fresh produce and gave away 88 food baskets worth more than $8,800.

  • As of December 2007 we have already delivered over 220 food baskets.

  • The soup is shared with people in an Olympia retirement home in addition to being part of the grocery deliveries.

  • Additionally, for our weekly street ministry, we provide sack lunches and hot cocoa.

We're very blessed to have the contributions of our friends who network with us.

  • We receive fresh produce from our local Farmer's Market on a weekly basis nine months out of the year.

  • Bread is donated by the Panera Bread Shop

  • Meat is donated by Set Free Ministries located in Elma.

  • And then there is the Soup Brigade—a group of wonderful retired ladies who take some of the produce donated by the market and make nutritious soup that is distributed to families as part of our grocery deliveries.
