Children's Outreach

Over the years we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of homeless and low income single mothers and their children during our Thursday night Streetlights outreach.

This group of people has their own special set of challenges and needs, and we are very thankful that now we have a van and volunteer team set aside to assist them.

So far, our volunteer team has been told of a number of difficult situations involving single moms and their kids - everything from the family still in homes but not being able to meet the needs of their infants and children, couch surfing from one home to the next, living in cars and tents, and living on the street.

There is a lot of work to be done in assisting those in these difficult situations, and we could really use your help. If you would like to donate items to the nfant and children's outreach or would like to be on the prayer team to pray for the needs of the people we are assisting, please contact Debbie Burdick at DebB@southsoundchurch.org

Tylenol (children's and regular)

We are also very thankful to have Debbie Burdick, Shea Richardson, and all of the volunteers on this team.

Debbie is our team lead and she brings her previous experience with children and ministry to this team, plus a real heart for people and a gift for comfort and encouragement.
