Phil’s twenty-five years of working in the field of sales and marketing has uniquely equipped him with intuitive people skills to support his gifting as an evangelist. He spent twelve years of that twenty-five in evangelism ministries with organizations such as Bread BasketMinistry, YWAM, the Four Square Church, and prison and jail ministries.

Phil excels at networking, fundraising, preaching, and mentoring. He believes in reaching out with compassion to the poor and homeless.

Gail Wells
Gail has served for many years in the church as an Elder, Teacher, Administrator, Associate Pastor, and corporate officer. That, along with her years of experience with administrative duties in both public and private sectors, equips her for her position as Executive Director with City Gates Ministries. She is also a founding Board member.
In 2005 she was instrumental in changing CGM from a small group of dedicated volunteers into a Washington State public non-profit corporation.
She now facilitates activities, manages records, serves and preaches on the street, and networks with state, county, and church organizations that focus their help on the poor in our communities.

Wayne & Kathy Carpenter
In 2004, with the love of Christ, the love and support of family, and with counseling we were able to beat the odds and save our marriage. Wayne and I were both baptized in the summer of 2005 at our family camp for South Sound Community Church.
Through our church, we got involved with City Gates Ministries when two years ago we made a clothing donation through Kathy Talley. Wayne had a dream about doing mission work and we realized it was the perfect opportunity to get started. We have continued to grow with the ministry and are hoping to do additional mission work when we retire.
Wayne is active in networking with local dentists, nurses, and doctors for donations of personal hygiene items and we both help out on Thursday nights for the street ministry.
